Gollyball Rules and Regulations
What is the Gollyball ?
Ans: It's a KICKING the BALL to score a point within rectangle or any other geometric shaped
ground/ surface into a goal post which is 4feet (width) x 3feet ( height ) or similar size.
How is scoring in Gollyball ?
Ans: Gollyball has plus and minus points assigned to goal post. A player can score + 1/ -1, +2
/ -2, +3/ -3, +4 / -4 or +n / -n.
Who can play Gollyball ?
Ans: People of all age group can play this game, however they have to register their profile
on www.gollyball.com. Post which they will get an invite for offline matches and their
profile will be used to create matches online, a player needs to play a minimum ten matches
offline to setup their online profile to be part of the online platform.
How does online Gollyball work ?
Ans: Once a player profile is created based on their offline match history and total points
scored, they will be listed on Gollyball Portal and online users can use their profile to create
team. Gollyball Online is a synergy between offline matches played on weekdays or
weekends vis a vis connected to online. Online users can place bets on such matches only
when offline matches have been played.
What is Gollyball leader board ?
Ans: Players when they score points it will list on the leader board and every week there will
be a winner. Leader board for a team also will shown if players play as team.
Rules and Terms
1. Minimum 60ft width X 120ft length / maximum 80ft width x 160ft length or 1:2 pitch
2. Kicking spot is a D as shown in the diagram below at ¼ of the total length.
3. Ball should be placed on the D while kicking.
4. Type of surface or ground: Any flat surface / Astro turf / Natural / Concert Surface
5. Goal post size 4ft width, 3ft height, 1.5ft depth
6. Goal post will be marked + ( plus ) and – ( minus ) points. Red = minus points and
black = plus points. Other color will have multiply, divide factor as well.
7. 6 players in One team
8. 4 on the pitch + 2 extra players
9. Each player gets to kick the ball
10. One Kicker has 6 kicks (Kicker is set of 6 kicks )
11. Kick : One leg should be grounded and other leg should be engaged to kick the ball
12. One kick is when player touches the ball with the foot
13. 4 kicks must be towards each side (all four sides)
14. Remaining 2 kicks can be chosen by player sides of their choice
15. 5 mins per half
16. 10 mins per team
17. Two halves game
18. Team with highest score win the game
19. In case of tie, one super kicker is awarded to each team and their best player can
come take part. Still in case of a tie, toss will be deciding the winner
20. Profile for participation is needed, offline profile of the players will be listed on
online.
